Teenage mechanic attacked, stabbed by masked men

A 19-year-old mechanic is currently hospitalised after he was attacked and stabbed by two masked men in the wee hours of Friday between Lodge Housing Scheme and Meadow Brook Drive, Georgetown.
The injured teen is Nichlous Niles Greeves of Stevedore Housing Scheme, North Ruimveldt.
Based on reports, Greeves was in the company of three friends walking in the vicinity of Meadow Brook Drive. However, as they approached Lodge Housing Scheme, the teenager stopped to urinate while his friends walked ahead.
At that time, the two perpetrators approached him from behind. He reportedly put up a fight during which one of the perpetrators, who was armed with a pair of scissors, dealt Greeves two stabs – one to his face and one under his arm.
The mechanic then raised an alarm and his friends rushed to his rescue. The two perpetrators managed to escape in an unknown direction.
Greeves was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was treated and admitted as a patient in the male ward. His condition is regarded as stable. The matter was reported to the Police and an investigation was launched.
