Home News Teenager remanded on simple larceny charge
Having escaped from the holding cell at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on a previous court date, a 17-year-old found herself in hot water on Thursday when she appeared in Georgetown Magistrate Leron Daly’s Court to answer a simple larceny charge.
She faces an allegation detailing that on March 7, 2018, in the vicinity of Brickdam Georgetown, she robbed Walter Nero of his cellular phone valued $5,000 and $5000 in cash, while at the time, after or before, she used personal violence towards Nero.
Unrepresented by legal counsel, the teen pleaded not guilty to the charge, but Magistrate Daly refused to place this defendant on bail, since she has before the courts matters that are antecedents to this charge she faces.
