The authorities must be commended

Dear Editor,
Well, from all accounts and reports, all is going well with the bridge repairs and river crossings at designated locations. This must be seen as the result of good planning and organising, and efficient executing.
This must be so, as there were no reports of elderly and differently-abled persons having any issues, or of commuters being harassed, or of persons fearing for their security or safety.
The authorities must be commended.
