The “Biggest Party in Sport” returns to the Guyana National Stadium this weekend

As the Hero Caribbean Premiere League (CPL) comes to a climax, the two remaining games in the preliminary round will be held on Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9, at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, East Bank Demerara.
On Saturday, the Guyana Amazon Warriors will take on the Jamaica Tallawahs at 20:00h and then on Sunday, the Guyana Amazon Warriors will come up against the Trinbago Knight Riders who handed them a convincing defeat on Wednesday evening in Trinidad.
Now the Amazon Warriors are expecting to take revenge on Sunday evening. After those two matches, the “Biggest Party in Sport” will continue with the play-off matches. The first play-off matches are set for Tuesday, September 11 and the second on Wednesday, September 12.
As of now, the Trinbago Knight Riders are leading the table followed by the Jamaica Tallawah then the Guyana Amazon Warriors and finally in the top four is St Kitts Patriots. After the two games, this weekend, the fixtures for the play-off will be finalised.

Nevertheless, Guyanese from all walks of life are ready to party and will undoubtedly flock the Guyana National Stadium to support their favourite teams. Guyanese are known for their tremendous support of the tournament.
Tickets are going like hotcakes with some indications that the grass mound and party stands are already gone. Tickets for the Red, Green and Orange stands are also going fast.
However, while picking up those tickets, fans are encouraged to purchase their hats, bandanas, jerseys and other items at the merchandise section of the ticketing office. On this note, we are calling all ‘warriors’ to make sure they are ready and waiting to roar as the Guyanese owned team take on the best of the best at the Guyana National Stadium.
It’s a time when Guyanese show the rest of the Caribbean, “how we party”.
CPL is one competition and six teams vying for supremacy and will run from August 8 to September 16, 2018.
