Majesty International, headed by Natasha Martindale, is on the hunt for a well-rounded lady to represent Guyana at the next Miss World Pageant. In doing so, the franchise will be hosting an audition on March 26 at Cara Lodge, Quamina Street, Georgetown.
The auditions are open to all single natural born females who were born in Guyana; is the child of a Guyanese parent; is a naturalised citizen of Guyana; or living abroad with Guyanese parents. The applicant must be single and be between the ages of 16 on or before May 26 and no more than 25, four months on that date.
The applicant must also be one of good moral character and possesses charm, poise, and personality and whose background is not likely to bring into disrepute Majesty International or the Miss Guyana title or the licence holders/national director or any person in relation or associated with the pageant.
So far, 25 semi-finalists have already made the initial cut, and will go through several challenges or tests to ensure they have what it takes to be a queen.
The person selected will replace Miss Guyana World 2016, Nuriyyih Gerrard, who represented Guyana with dignity and pride. Over the years, Guyana has been making strides on the international stage and would have placed in the top 10 twice but more importantly, the contestants Beauty with a Purpose Project took centre stage.
