The PNC is in a quandary

Dear Editor,
Recently, Chief Justice Roxanne George threw out two matters brought before her by APNU/PNC Chief Scrutineer Carol Joseph. Acting on behalf of her party, Joseph contended that the list was so flawed that it necessitates the postponement of the 2023 LGE.
Well, I am not so sure where this “oil and gas comedian” got her legal advice, but the point is, that which she is asking the court to do should have been dealt with a long time ago, during the Claims and Objections period. Here Joseph and her representatives should have presented their evidence, whatever that is, and something they deliberately shirked away from. In this regard, the PNC do not have a legal leg to stand on.
What the PNC are not telling us is that they are unprepared for the upcoming LGE, and seeing there is nothing positive that the party can offer the electorate, they were all the more flat-footed and totally out of sorts. Even more revealing is the massive show of support for the governing party.
The PNC have become mortally afraid of the elections. They see a shocking defeat steering them in the face, and as such they are trying every known shenanigan to avert the disaster.
In addition to their predicament is the fact that there is going to be a grand leadership crisis within that party. With defeat comes a call for Norton’s head; he will have to go! So, the PNC is in a quandary, out of which they cannot get themselves.

Respectfully,
Neil Adams
