The return of “Music of the World” set for March 25 & 26
Following a few years hiatus, the Music of the World will be back with a bang on March 25 at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, East Bank Demerara and on March 26 at the Rose Hall Canje Ground, Berbice.
In the past, the mega concert drew crowds from across the country with performances by Indian Bolloywood soap stars, Indian playback singers and several international artistes.
With the return this year, the promoter, Fire Fest Production, is optimistic that with the line-up, Guyanese will be flocking the ticketing offices as soon as the tickers are released. The line-up include Indian comedian Johnny Lever; young Bollywood singing sensation, Kumar Nihar; Del-E-Nadan’s Rennie Ramnarine; Trinidad’s chutney star, Avinash Maharaj; De Showstopper, Raymond Ramnarine; Bollywood playback singer Satnarine Ragoo; Trinidad’s melody queen, Savita Singh and Guyana’s own, Mahendra Ramkellawan.
In addition to the cast, the Fire Fest Band, the Shakti Strings Orchestra, Asha G and the Fire Fest Dancers and Del-E-nadan are expected to create quite a stir. WR Reaz and Deejay Sherriff out of Trinidad and Tobago are expected to emcee the concert.
Tickets for the event cost $1500 for general admission and $5000 for those who wish to experience the VIP treatment. Tickets are expected to be released shorty at regular ticketing locations.
