Thomas, Tyrell champions in 10K race

The distance specialists got an early start on Sunday morning, competing for a slew of eye-catching prizes in the Ex-Athletes and Friends 10K event.
Beginning at the Ministry of Education Ground, Carifesta Avenue, the competitors in the Open category were tasked with negotiating the roundabout near the Kitty Seawall, proceeding onto the Rupert Craig Highway, and continuing to Turkeyen before turning back. Once they trekked past the Russian Embassy turn, they took the Kitty Public Road and returned to Carifesta Avenue, making a U-turn at the National Park and finishing at the GNS Ground.
