Thunderbolt Flour Power National Under-17 Intra-Association Football League launched

The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) in collaboration with the National Milling Company of
Guyana (NAMILCO) officially launched the Thunderbolt Flour Power National Under-17 Intra-
Association Football League on Friday 29th April, 2016 at the North Ruimveldt
Multilateral School, Georgetown.
At the launch GFF President, Wayne Forde said that there is more to the tournament than just
football, but rather, player development for our youths.

NAMILCO’s Financial Consultant Fitzroy McLeod who was also present expressed his
satisfaction with the launch of the tournament, “NAMILCO has been very supportive towards sporting activities and we continue to contribute to education institutions, we believe this tournament can be a landmark in Guyana. We expect that this tournament will serve as the basis for unrivaled national effort in the identification and enhancement of football talent in this critical age group”
The National Milling Company of Guyana (NAMILCO) is the exclusive sponsor of the
tournament which is expected to commence on the 7th May, 2016 and conclude in June 2017 with a break in November – December 2016.
It will be managed by and simultaneously run in the nine (9) football-playing associations
affiliated to the GFF at the Intra-Association level.
These associations include Bartica Football Association (BFA), Berbice Football Association
(BFA), East Demerara Football Association (EDFA), East Bank Football Association (EBFA),
Essequibo Coast/Pomeroon Football Association, Georgetown Football Association (GFA),
Repununi Football Association (RFA), Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) and the
West Demerara Football Association.
