Timehri J’Ouvert set for Saturday evening

Timehri, on the East Bank of Demerara, will come alive on Saturday evening as the second J’Ouvert party is hosted. The event is slated to be held at the One Touch Wash Bay; a stone throw away from the Cheddi Jagan International Airport.
The first J’Ouvert saw patrons having maximum fun until the Plice ended the event prematurely. However, this time around, the organisers are hoping to put on one of the best shows in the village.
It will definitely be a kaleidoscope of colours as the event is expected to be one of a kind with the full hype as a Carnival-styled J’Ouvert party.
Water will not be an issue as several water sources have been identified close to the venue. It will be a night of shelling down to the best soca music while at the same time getting drenched.
Several top deejays will be part of the event to ensure everyone has the time of their lives.
Several top deejays will passing through as well as the best on the East Bank will be on the consoles. Apart from the actual J’Ouvert party, scrumptious Bar-Be-Que will be on sale. The excitement starts at 20:00h.
Meanwhile, the Costume and Float Parade is expected to be held the following weekend. The road tramp will start at the Timehri Docks Area and will culminate at Red Ground for a grand wash down.
