The Miss Universe Guyana 2016 would have seen some elegant gowns that obviously left the audience spell 
bound. Some of these gowns were designed by Guyanese designers while some were imported from overseas and were designed by well known designers.
Whether imported or designed by local talents, the delegate displayed them with grace, poise and sophistication. At the end of the competition however, it was Ashley John who copped the prize for elegance with a gown that was imported.
Nevertheless, the gown worn by the newly crowned queen, Soyini Fraser was also designed by the same designer who worked on the gown worn by Miss Universe Guyana, 2015; Shauna Ramdyhan, when she copped the title.
