National darts champion Sudesh Fitzgerald (right) and Luis Ramirez Merlano are expected to be in action tonight
Tonight at the Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) Pavilion the country’s leading dart players will take their aims as Trophy stall and the Guyana Dart Association (GDA) collaborate to host a dart tournament starting at 19:30h.
Vicious competition is predicted as this tournament is open to all registered members of the GDA. Registration will commence at 19:00h.
The tournament will comprise Male and Female Singles and Luck of the Draw Doubles with prizes being awarded to the top three performers in each category.
Some of Guyana’s top dart players namely; Sudesh Fitzgerald, Luis Merlano, Marvin Yaw, Lallchand Rambharose, Nicholas Seetaram, Adrian Damon, Terence Joseph, Mary Correia, Jaswantie Hiralall, Victorine Chandro and Melissa Smartt are expected to participate in the competition.
Recently, the Malteenoes Sports Club pavilion at Thomas Lands has been the new home of darts as it turns out to be very welcoming for the influx of enthusiasts.
