Transfer period to close in January 2020

GCA 2019/2020 cricketing season closed…

Onset of the rainy season has brought the Guyana Cricket Association’s (GCA’s) cricket season to a premature end, but resumption thereof is planned for January 18, 2020.
In the NBS 2nd Division 40 overs competition for 2018/2019, GCC were the winners, while Everest settled for runners-up.
In the Noble House Seafoods Generation Next 2019 Under 19 one hundred overs (55/45) Competition, DCC were the winners and GCC were the runners-up.
The GCA New York Tri-State Under 19 fifty overs’ competition for 2019 saw the New York Tri State Team emerging as the winners and DCC as the runners-up; while in the Toucan Distributors Under 15 Competition, GCC were announced the winners and DCC the runners-up.
For the 2019/2020 season, the ongoing competitions are: GISE Star Party Rental & Trophy Stall 1st Division 2-day Competition, which has a total of 5 matches left between the 2 zones. GCC lead Zone A, with DCC in second but with a match to play.
In Zone B, Everest lead, with MSC and Police in a battle for second. However, MSC have 1 match to play, while Police have two remaining in the group stage.
Noble House Seafoods 2nd Division 2 days’ tournament has a total of 17 matches to be played between the two zones, with GCC leading and the second position left wide open. In Zone B, DCC are the leaders.
In the NBS 2nd Division 40 overs competition, there are 20 matches left to be played, with GCC leading and MSC in second. Zone B has DCC leading, and TSC in second.
The upcoming competitions that are awaiting sponsorship are 1st Division 50 overs, T20, 2nd Division T20, Under 19 hundred overs and 50 overs; Under 17, Under 15 and Under 13 competitions.
The executives and Competitions Committee would like to extend gratitude to the sponsors, friends of cricket, media/press, curators, affiliated clubs’ executives, players, and all of their families and relatives for the support.
Clubs and players can use this period for transfer from one club to another. The period is from 1st December to 31st January 2020.
