Transport storm into GCA/Enline 50-over U17 final

Transport Sports Club (TSC) produced a dominant performance yesterday at the TSC ground, defeating Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) by eight wickets in the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) Under-17/Enline Security Logistics 50-over competition.

After winning the toss, MSC elected to bat first but struggled against a disciplined Transport bowling attack. They were eventually bowled out for 131 in 38 overs.
Joshua Bollers top-scored for MSC with a patient 36 from 59 balls, including four fours and two sixes. Nathaniel Ramkallawan contributed 11, while Dashawn Ramnauth made 13.
For transport, Prosper Jacobus led the bowling effort with an impressive 3 for 15. Shazim Mohamed and Azariah Duncan provided further support, claiming two wickets each.
Transport, however, made the chase look remarkably easy.
Opener Emmanuel Lewis produced a blistering innings of 82 from just 51 balls, striking eight fours and six sixes. His aggressive batting put Transport firmly in control from the outset.
Hezekiah Hohenkirk provided valuable support with 27 from 35 balls as Transport raced to 133 for two in just 14.5 overs.
The emphatic victory secured TSC’s place in the competition final, where they will face Demerara Cricket Club. The date for the final is yet to be announced.
With Lewis leading the charge with the bat and Jacobus spearheading the bowling attack, TSC will enter the final with considerable confidence following their comprehensive eight-wicket victory.
