Travis Persaud’s 6-for, Singh’s aggression help Mc Gill into WDCA Beacon Cafe 50 Overs final

The Mc Gill Super Stars Sports Club demolished their opponents, All Youths Sports Club, at Wales CDC in the semi-final of the West Demerara Cricket Association (WDCA) Beacon Cafe 50 Overs competition last Sunday.
All Youths Sports Club won the toss and chose to bat first on a bowler-friendly surface which proved to be a vital mistake. Off-spinner Abdul Razack and left-arm spinner Kheshram Seyhodan bowled economically within the powerplay overs which set the tone for the rest of the innings. All Youths Sports Club lost their first wicket with the score on eight in the fifth over when Razack bowled Sanjay Persaud for zero.
