Trio charged for stealing from EBD construction firm

Three persons were charged on Tuesday in relation to the Simple Larceny committed on Anirud Construction Firm between March 24 and 28, 2024, at Great Diamond New Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
Charged are 50-year-old Dianand Mangroo, a Security Guard from Skeldon, Corentyne Berbice; Charran Dhunmun,27, a mechanic from Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo (EBE), and Thakour Mangal, 33, an operator from Springlands, Corentyne.
Mangroo was arrested on March 28 while Charran and Mangal were arrested one day later.
The trio appeared at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman, where the charge was read to them to which they pleaded not guilty.
They were granted in the sum of $100,000 each and the matter was adjourned to April 29.
