Appearing before Principal Magistrate Leron Daly on Friday to answer a joint unlawful possession charge were Kenrick Charles, 25, of Lot 110 Eccles Park, East Bank Demerara; Michael Hores, 18, of Lot 103 Middle Road, La Penitence Georgetown; and Jermain McLeod of Lot 122 Meadow Brook, Georgetown.
The court heard that on April 10, 2018, they had in their possession a pressure washer, property of Darian La Rose, said to be stolen or unlawfully obtained.
The Prosecution’s case is that Police ranks on mobile patrol stopped and searched a motorcar in which the men were travelling, and the pressure washer was found in the trunk of the vehicle. The defendants were questioned about ownership of the item, but they all failed to give a proper explanation for being in possession of the item. As such, they were taken into custody, and an investigation was launched.
The men all denied the charge in court, and were released on $50,000 bail each. The matter has been adjourned to April 27.
