Trophy Stall donates Guyana Open Trophies to LGC

Long-time servant of sports in Guyana, a close friend to the Lusignan Golf Club (LGC) fraternity, Trophy Stall, recently donated a number of trophies which will be up for grabs this weekend. The LGC will be hosting the premier golf tournament, the Guyana Open, an event on its annual calendar, on November 3 and 4 at the Lusignan Golf Course; and Trophy Stall has sought to continue playing a role in the development of golf by providing the spoils.
Devi Sunich, wife of Trophy Stall boss Ramesh Sunich, recently handed over the trophies to former Guyana Open Champ and front-runner for the Ladies crown this weekend, Joaan Deo.
Trophy Stall continues to sponsor and support the new executive of the LGC, and has pledged to stand with president of the club as he seeks to improve the game

Devi Sunich, in brief remarks, added that Trophy Stall is happy to be on board any development of sports, and that the donation was merely a way of giving back to sports in Guyana. She said golf has obviously grown in popularity, “and we expect it to grow tremendously in the years to come.”
This year’s tournament will be the largest in the history of the country, with 100 participants from across the globe set to occupy the Greens. Guyana’s Avinash Persaud and Christine Sukhram will have targets on their backs as they seek to retain their respective Male/Female Guyana Open titles when the tournament concludes on Sunday.
Tee off time on Saturday is set for 5:15hrs, and entrance to the venue is free. (Clifton Ross)
