Truck driver shot, injured at Buck Hall

Police ranks on the Essequibo Coast were on Tuesday hunting possible suspects for the brazen shooting of a 26-year-old truck driver, who hails from New Road, Vreed-en-Hoop.
The truck driver, Osafa Roberts, is currently listed in serious but stable condition at the Suddie Hospital in Essequibo.
According to information disclosed by Police, Roberts was leaving his employer’s business place just after midnight at Jamakie, Buck Hall, Essequibo River when he was reportedly confronted by a male who shot him to the abdomen. He was rushed to the medical facility, where he is currently nursing his injuries.
Police in E Division (Linden-Kwakwani) disclosed that on Tuesday afternoon, detectives were on the scene seeking clues and conducting interviews to solve the crime as the investigations into the matter continue.
