TT players from SVG for goodwill competition with Guyana this weekend

Table tennis players from St Vincent & the Grenadines (SVG) would be coming to Guyana for goodwill competition with their Guyanese counterparts this weekend.

Rising SVG table tennis stars Damon Dublin and Mikael Hazelwood will visit Guyana to participate in a Goodwill Challenge Series on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th March 2022. While in Guyana, these players would engage in practice sessions and play a series of matches against Guyana’s select national team members in team matches and individual competition spanning the period of their visit.
This event is the brainchild and collaborative effort of former Caribbean champion and table tennis legend Orville Haslam, who is President of the Table Tennis Association of St Vincent and the Grenadines, and Godfrey Munroe, President of the Guyana Table Tennis Association.

This initiative forms part of the developmental engagement between Guyana and St Vincent and the Grenadines, which offers both countries the opportunity to provide much needed international exposure to key players.
The SVG duo is expected to arrive in Guyana on Friday night, March 4.
