Tucber Park, Courtland to clash in semi-final today at Cumberland

A keen contested match is anticipated today as the semi-final of the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) /New Building Society (NBS) Limited 40-over second division cricket competition will be played today at the Cumberland ground in the East Canje area from 11:00h.
After several postponements due to the prolonged rainy season, the second semi-final of the tournament which started in 2015 will be played between hosts Tucber Park of New Amsterdam and Courtland of Lower Corentyne.
The winner will clash with Rose Hall in the final on a date and venue to be announced shortly.
Both teams possess great all-round strength, with former Berbice under-19 opener and current level three coach, Julian Moore, leading the Tucber Park side. He is expected to get support from promising pacer Niall Smith, a former national youth cricketer; West Indies winning World Cup female player Tremayne Smart; and wicketkeeper/batsmen Hakeem Hinds, Joel Seitaram, Keon DeJesus and Steve Deonarine.
Courtland will be led by the energetic John Percival and will be supported by Keon Sinclair; former Berbice senior player Eon Gibson, Troy Mathieson and Leroy Bristol.
