Wanted: Joseph Sargeant called “Joey”Murdered: Terry Ault
The Police have now issued a wanted bulletin for a Tucville Squatting Area, Georgetown man who is wanted in connection with the murder of 28-year-old Terry Ault, which occurred July 21.
Wanted is 38-year-old Joseph Sargeant called “Joey” of Lot 3458 Postal Housing Scheme, North Ruimveldt and LH Stevedore Scheme, Tucville Squatting Area, Georgetown.
Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Sargeant is being asked to contact the Police on telephone numbers 226-6978, 225-8196, 226-2870, 226-7065, 227-1149, 226-7065, 911 or the nearest Police station. All information will be treated with the strictest confidence.
Ault, a father of one, reportedly left his Lot 63, Block A, South Sophia home to attend a pool party in the same community.
However, at about 03:00h on July 21, the man’s relative received reports that he had been shot.
Ault was picked up and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
It is still unclear what caused the shooting; however, five persons, including two women, were held for questioning by the Police.
Acting Crime Chief Michael Kingston had also confirmed that advice was given for one person to be charged with the murder.
