Tuschen man gets bail on gun, ammo possession charge
Twenty-eight-year-old Aslim Khan, also called “Aslam” of Block J, Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo (EBE), was on Friday released on $225,000 bail by Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on a firearm and ammunition possession charge.
Khan was reported arrested on August 29, 2021 with a firearm and several rounds of matching ammunition. He was subsequently charged for unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition without being the holder of the relevant licences.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him and as such, was granted bail in the sum of $225,000. The matter was transferred to Leonora Magistrates Court for October 13, 2021.
