Tuschen woman charged for larceny

Wendy Callender, a 57-year-old woman of Tuschen New Housing Scheme, East Bank Essequibo, was on Friday arraigned before Magistrate Faith Mc Gusty at the Wales Magistrate’s Court to answer a charge of larceny.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge that was read to her.
Police reported that the offence was committed on 36-year-old Devin John, a construction worker of Tuschen New Housing Scheme, East Bank Essequibo on September 9.
The accused was arrested and charged by the Police for committing the offence of larceny by bailee, contrary to section 165 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.
Callender was released on $100,000 bail, and the matter has been adjourned to October 10. (G9)
