Tutorial started off things nicely by winning the toss and without hesitation invited their opposition to take first strike.

Charlestown students only posted an inadequate 86 all out from 22.4 overs while Tutorial High safely reached 87-8 in the 25th over when they responded.

Zian Grey led the way with an aggressive 30 which was punctuated with three sixes and two fours while Eyitawaya Pilgrim scored an unbeaten 8 including the winning run.

Raymond Bandhu claimed two wickets for five runs from two overs and Jamal Michael and Nagusa Walter also claimed two wickets.

Earlier, off-spinners Joel Spooner and Brandon Matthews combined to destroy Charlestown with seven wickets. Spooner finished with impressive figures of 4-11 from 5.4 overs while Matthews snared 3-8 off 6.3 overs.

Qumar Torrington made a top-score of 21 which counted three sixes and 17 from the bat of Tathesh Shivrattan.

In the first match of the play-offs on Tuesday at the same venue, Chase Academic Foundation beat Tutorial High by 53 runs. Chase Academic Foundation will now meet Charlestown on Monday right at DCC.
