carpenter, during the course of a robbery.

The men have been remanded to prison until August 22, when they would be arraigned before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.

Reports are that on the day of his demise, Rodriguez, late father of three and resident of 64 Leopold Street, Georgetown, reportedly had an altercation with his attackers and was stabbed to his chest.

After being stabbed, Rodrigues had reportedly run from his attackers, but subsequently collapsed in front of Demico House.

He was picked up and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC), where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Yankana, a bus conductor, was arrested by Police shortly after and charged with the offence of murder, while Yamar was later arrested and similarly charged. While being escorted to the holding cell at GMC following their arraignment on Wednesday, family members of the deceased, including the sister of Rodriguez, Anastasia, were all heard yelling to the accused, “We will get justice for our brother! Y’all gon punish!”
