Guyana recorded two new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) bringing the number of confirmed cases to 156. However, there are only 58 active cases with 86 recoveries.
The Ministry of Public Health, on Tuesday, said that one person is currently a patient at the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation. The number of deaths remains at 12.
Thus far, 1,854 persons have been tested with 1,698 returning as negative.
According to the Ministry, 14 persons are currently in institutional quarantine while 58 are in institutional isolation.
