National Under-13 spinner Jayden Ganpat continued his outstanding form with the ball, picking up a match haul of 10 wickets for 20 runs.
Ganpat’s 10 wickets led Rose Hall Town Farfan and Mendes Under-15 A to a 10-wicket victory over their B counterparts at the Area H ground in Rose Hall Town.
With the weather threatening, the A team declared their first innings to secure an early victory.
Rose Hall Town B posted 35 all out, with Ganpat leading with seven for six. Leon Reddi, Khemraj Bharat, and Afraz Ali took one wicket each.
In reply, Rose Hall Town A scored 75 for 4 declared. Darvish Narine made 16, Jonathan Hicks 17, and Leon Reddi scored 24 not out. Jahleel Grant had 2 for 15.
Facing a deficit of 40 runs in the first innings, Rose Hall Town B were bowled out for 47 in their second innings. Grant made 10, while Joshua Dhanraj scored 12.
Darvish Narine was the pick of the bowlers with five for six. Jayden Ganpat returned 3 for 14 to complete his 10-wicket match haul.
Needing to score eight runs to secure an outright victory over their younger counterparts, the A team reached 10 without loss, with Jonathan Hicks on six not out and Disham LaCruz on three not out.
