UG to host round-table discussion on approaches to teaching adult learners

The Faculty of Education and Humanities at the University of Guyana, Berbice Campus (UGBC) will be hosting a round-table discussion today under the theme “Approaches to Teaching Adult Learners”. It will run from 13:00h to 15:00h via Zoom.
The event will see presentations being made by four adept lecturers – Dr Karl Dawson (Virgin Islands), Dr Schontal Moore (UWI, Mona, Jamaica), Bonita Hunter (University of Guyana – Turkeyen), and Maureen Bynoe (University of Guyana – Tain).
In the first hour, the presenters will each expand on unique perspectives on the topic, and in the second hour, they will engage the lecturers and students participating in the event. Lecturer of the Faculty of Education and Humanities at UGBC, Dr Dennis Gill is the moderator.
Dr Gill is encouraging lecturers and students to join the discussions and get involved in the conversation. He noted that the event is free of charge and will provide pertinent information that will aid in both adult students and lecturers finding a system that leads to the best results.
