Uitvlugt man found dead by son

Fifty-one-year-old Hubert Henry of De-Groot Uitvlugt, West Coast Demerara (WCD) is now dead after his lifeless body was found by his 26-year-old son on Christmas Day.
Reports are that at about 07:00h, the dead man’s son, Shivnanand Henry, a fisherman of the same address, reported to the Police that he observed his father was lying motionless on his bed at home.
He told Police that the deceased was an alcoholic who suffered from epilepsy, and would consume alcohol and lie several places around the house.
The son said that at about 03:30h on Christmas Day, he was going to use the outdoor washroom when he saw his father lying on the ground. He immediately picked him up placed him on a bed under the house and left. However, at about 06:30h, when he went to check on his father, he observed that the man was motionless. He immediately raised an alarm, and subsequently made a report at the Leonora Police Station.
When investigators arrived on the scene, the body was examined and blood stains were seen on the dead man’s stomach and his right ear.
His body was taken to Leonora Hospital, where he was seen and examined by a doctor on duty, who pronounced him dead. The body was later escorted to the Ezekiel Funeral Parlour, where it is awaiting a post-mortem examination.
Investigations are ongoing.
