Santos FC is the inaugural champions of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF), Alex Bunbury Sport and Academic Academy (ABSAA), Banks DIH sponsored Clash of the Veteran round robin football tournament after beating points leaders Thomas United 3-0.
First place trophy was presented by Junior Forrester to captain of Santos FC Anthony Stanton
The only undefeated teams Thomas United and Santos after seven rounds were on 20 and 18 points respectively. The final game became become the championship game in which Santos FC dominated with a double by Gerald Gittens and a lone goal by Andrew Wills against the mighty Thomas United FC.
The final match of the tournament which was held on Saturday September 23 at the Tucville ground in Georgetown, pitted the two sides against each other. Thomas United only needed a draw to win championship while Santos needed a win.
Trophies were presented to first, second and the third place finishers while cash prizes will be presented at a later date.

In the nine-team tournament, Gerald Gittens was adjudged the Most Valuable Player while Omally Nassy with eight goals won the prize for the most goals in the tournament.
