Unemployment and suicide

Dear Editor,
Here is a highly oversimplified flow diagram showing the influence of a stressor, such as unemployment(A), which disrupts homeostatic brain functions in unleashing an array of brain problems(B), in eliciting suicide (C). At least two cases of suspected suicide have already been reported among the recently unemployed sugar workers.
