Unicomer Guyana on Friday launched a “top quality motorcycle of the brand called AKT” at the Giftland Mall, Liliendaal, Greater Georgetown.
Country Manager of Unicomer Guyana, Clyde De Haas stated that the bikes are of high quality and come in different models.

He stated that there is the GT model that is suitable for daily use and was described as a “messenger bike”, the TT model for customers that are more adventure-oriented and suitable for long distance out of town journeys, and the CS3 for around the town riding.
The motorcycles are said to have competitive prices and its quality represents excellent value with a one-year manufacture warranty and a free first service. Customers also have the option to buy a two-year warranty.
The bikes are set to be in Georgetown, then after a month, they will be made available at the other out of town locations such as Linden, New Amsterdam, and Essequibo.
They will be available at the Giftland Mall, Courts Main Street, Georgetown store and Lucky Dollar on Regent Street.
The General Manager invited customers to visit the stores and have a feel of the bikes, noting that their sale staff are available and ready to answer any questions in regards to the bike’s technical specifications. He also noted that they have flexible financing offers.
The company’s Marketing Manager, spoke of the AKT brand, stating that it is a Columbian brand formed in 2004. Unicomer Inc, however, began selling AKT motorcycles in 2012 in Nicaragua and upon successful sales, they expanded their distribution to other Latin American markets, followed by the Caribbean, where they distributed in Belize, and St Lucia in 2020, and now in Guyana.
