The lifeless body of an unidentified man was found in a pasture at Houston, East Bank Demerara, on Sunday morning. According to reports, the man collapsed and died while walking in the pasture.
A man who had witnessed the incident told the media that the now dead man had been seen walking in the Houston area before later walking straight into the pasture.

As he was attempting to cross a small bridge to head to the road, he fell into a trench.
According to the eyewitness, the man was seen trying to pull himself from the trench, and everyone thought he was intoxicated. As such, they paid him no mind.
The man kept trying for some time to pull himself out of the trench, and eventually managed to get his body onto the edge of the field. Soon after, persons who were working in the area at the time, realised that something was amiss, and rushed to the man’s aid.
Asked if he was okay, the unidentified man had responded that he was experiencing pain in his chest. He was given some water to drink, but soon after, he collapsed and became motionless.
As such, Police were summoned to the scene, and the man was pronounced dead. An investigation has been launched.
