Unlawful wounding lands man in court

Thirty-eight-year-old Peter Anderson found himself before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts after he was slapped with an unlawful wounding charge.
Anderson stood before the courts and denied that on October 11, 2018, at Aubrey Barker Road, South Ruimveldt, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Stephen Robinson with intent to maim, disfigure or cause grievous bodily harm.
Defence Attorney Clyde Ford in a bail application told the court that his client has no previous convictions and does not pose a flight risk. He further asked that his client be released on bail in a reasonable sum.
Police Prosecutor Sanj Singh made no objections to bail. Anderson was released on $75,000 bail. He was ordered to stay away from the Virtual Complainant.
The case will continue on January 21, 2019.
