Probeldad Wellness and Welfare Association will be hosting its annual Guyana medical mission next week. The six-day medical outreach is expected to provide medical and dental care to members of several community health centres.
According to President of the Association, James Melville, the outreach mission is conducted annually and encompasses a team of medical doctors, surgeons, nurses, and health-care professionals who collaborate to provide medical clinics, surgeries, health education and workshops to those in need.
“In collaboration with our sister charitable organisation which operates under the umbrella of Guyana Medical Mission, our aim is to improve the health and wellbeing of the underserved residents the Belladrum community and to expand to the neighbouring communities of Plantation profit and Rising Sun”. A total of 2817 persons benefited from this outreach last year. Some of the communities to benefit from this year’s outreach include Fyrish Health Centre on November 5; Manchester Health Centre on November 6; Belladrum Health Centre on November 7; Beterverwagting and Mahaica community health centres on November 8, Buxton on November 9 and East La Penitence on November 10.
