Various teams record notable wins

Essequibo Coast T/20 Bash…

Action in the Essequibo Coast T/20 Bash during the week just past entailed 11 matches being played at various grounds across Region Two, from which notable wins were recorded by Charity, Castle, and Bacchus Bulls, among other teams.
Scheme Gunners, battling Charity at the Charity ground, posted 60 all out in 13 overs, of which M. Pelly top scored with 20. Charity’s Mukesh Singh bagged 4-26, while Wayne Narine bagged 2-15 and Noel Evans 2-18.

Parmesh Parsotam scored 62 for the Bacchus Bulls

Charity responded with 66-3, made in 7 overs, with Wayne Narine contributing 47. M. Pelly took 2-24 in bowling for the Scheme.
Devonshire Castle defeated Golden Fleece in a match played at Golden Fleece ground. Castle scored 142 in 20 overs, with 22 each coming from N. Hirilall, A. Jailall and R. Persaud.
R. Nankishore bagged 4-23 for Golden Fleece, even as Ricardo Adams returned figures of 2-18 and S. Horilall 2-25.
Golden Fleece, in reply, could register only 132 for 6 in 20 overs, with R. Goordeen contributing 46 and Gewan Singh 33. Castle bowler Anil Persaud took 2-32.
Cotton Field Strikers, battling Aurora Knight Riders at the Imam Bacchus Ground, scored 150 for 9 in 20 overs, with Norman Fredericks producing an unbeaten 63.
A. Salim took 3-19 and Rajiv Kissoon took 2-17 bowling for the Strikers, who could make only 87 all-out in their 20 overs as they replied. Carlos Yhap contributed 25, Eion Dookie contributed 19, and Kiran Kumar contributed 18.
For the Knight Riders, Garfield Phillips bagged 3-15 and Norwayne Fredericks 2-24.
The Bacchus Bulls gored the Reliance Hustlers in a one-sided affair played out at the Reliance Ground. Hustlers posted 143 for 7 in 20 overs, with Narendra Madholall top scoring with 40 and Travis Simon contributing 24. Punraj Singh of the Bulls bagged 2-20 and Neiland Cadogan bagged 2 for 25.
The Bulls ended their reply on 144 for one made in 17 overs, with Parmesh Parsotam’s 62 and Sheldon Charles’s 57 laying the foundation for this win. Trevis Simon took the only Bulls wicket to fall, for 15.
Other victories recorded were as follows: Sparwin defeated Crown XI; Lima United defeated Rebels by 249 runs; Spartan Challengers defeated Young Achievers by 49 runs; Jaguars SC defeated Gunners by 15 runs; NOC defeated United Warriors by 5 wickets; Rising Stars defeated Reliance SC by 10 wickets, and Walton Hall SC defeated Jaguars by 5 wickets.
