Home News Vehicle mysteriously explodes on ECD
In what was described as “puzzling” and “peculiar” circumstances, a motor car suddenly burst into flames on the Rupert Craig Highway, East Coast Demerara (ECD) on Tuesday.
Reports reaching this publication indicated that the fire occurred some time after 14:00h.
Firefighters reacted promptly and succeeded in dousing the blaze.
It is believed that a significant amount of smoke emanated from the motor car, PLL 6429, but before anyone could react, the vehicle burst into flames and was quickly engulfed.
Guyana Times understands that no one was inside or near the car at the time of the explosion, and the vehicle was completely destroyed. The owner of the car has not yet been identified; efforts were made by this publication to gather additional information; however, the matter was not reported to the Police.
