Junior Gathers, a vendor of Vigilance South, East Coast Demerara (ECD), was on Wednesday released on $450,000 bail after appearing before Senior Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court charged with shooting at three persons.
The 20-year-old Gathers has been charged with three counts of discharging a loaded firearm with intent, committed on Edesi Edgill, Kobina Watson and Jason Archibald contrary to Section 55 (a) of the Criminal (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
A conditionality attached to his being granted bail is that he reports to the officer-in-charge of the Vigilance Police Station every Monday and Tuesday until the hearing and determination of his trial. Gathers’s next court date is March 17, 2022.
