VICE News misled audience

Dear Editor
I am one of the characters in the so-called documentary produced by VICE NEWS under the name of Undercover in Guyana: Exposing Chinese Business in South America, which has been a controversial topic among local media. Here I would like to make clarifications.
I never said that Chinese enterprises “use middlemen to pay bribes” in Guyana. In the video clip subtitled “CHINESE STATE-OWNED ENTERPRISE”, they were talking with me about the project execution in some place other than Latin America and the Caribbean.
What I would like to express is that it is very important to find the right person to communicate, with and to get his understanding and support, who may help you be understood by others.
At that time, the topic was not about project negotiation or winning contracts. Both myself and my company respect the laws and regulations of Guyana and abide by them.
I condemn the behaviors of VICE NEWS’ journalists for disguising identities, setting language traps, secretly filming and maliciously editing to mislead audiences, and I reserve the right to sue them.
