Season two of the Stag Elite League will come to an end today with an exciting triple header slated for the GDF Ground, Camp Ayanganna.
In the first matchup, Victoria Kings take on Monedderlust while Top XX clash with Buxton United in the second game of the night. Champions elect GDF take on second placed Fruta Conquerors in the feature match, action begins at 16:00hrs.

With the outcome of the GDF and Fruta Conquerors game not likely to change the present standing of first and second place respectively, it bills for an interesting match nevertheless as the top two teams will play the game as a matter of pride with GDF wanting to extend their unbeaten run while Fruta Conquerors will want to prove that GDF is beatable.
In games one and two, there is a lot to play for, since should Victoria Kings lose to Monedderlust and Top XX to Buxton United, there will be a change at the bottom of the table with Monedderlust moving to fifth place and Top XX to the bottom of the table.
However in the likely event that the “Kings” win against Monedderlust while Top XX should manage an upset against Buxton United, there will then be a mid-table change with Victoria Kings moving into third place while Buxton United go fourth. The table will remain the same if both Victoria Kings and Buxton United FC wins their respective games.
In a statement to the media, Director of GFF, Ian Alves said; “The league was keenly contested especially with some of the matchups. The newly-added clubs demonstrated improved play as the league progressed. However, they were some challenges with the condition of venues which resulted in venue changes to at least two matches.”
The final matchup of the season will also mean that while the top four teams advance to the ‘Big Four’ tournament, the bottom two will find themselves in the relegation zone.
Action begins at 16:00hrs and entry costs $500, patrons will be given a chance to win prizes compliments of the various sponsors.
