Vietnamese found dead at construction site

The lifeless body of a Vietnam national was on Wednesday evening discovered by workers in the compound of a construction site, located at Track J, D’Urban Backlands, Georgetown.
The dead man has been identified as Nguyen Nigoc Anh, age 32. Up to the time of his demise, he was working on the new mall that is being constructed by the Chinese which is in close proximity of the Chinese Embassy.
His body was discovered at about 19:00h, a few hours after he was reportedly seen at the worksite. He stayed at the living quarters that is being provided by his employers on site.
Based on reports received, the man’s body was discovered by the security guard who immediately raised an alarm. Upon inspection, the Police found a laceration to the man’s head.
It is unclear whether the man might have fallen from the building or he was murdered. The body is presently at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation Mortuary awaiting a post-mortem.
Police have since confirmed that two persons, including the security guard who found the body, are in custody assisting with investigations as the probe continues.
