National point guard Dominic Vincente is looking forward to the possibility of representing Guyana at the Commonwealth Games.
He shared with Guyana Times Sport that it would be a true honour to wear the Golden Arrowhead. This would be a groundbreaking occasion, as Guyana will send its first-ever basketball team to the Commonwealth Games, and Vincente is ready to make history.
“Being part of the Commonwealth Games to me it would be great, because it would be the first time at a games of that nature for me. It is not something I would take for granted, because representing Guyana is something I will always want to do,” Vincente stated.
Fresh off a recently-concluded 3×3 high-performance camp in Guyana, Vincente reflected on the changes he has made to his training approach.
“Some of the things would be about being in better condition, because the game is played faster and more physical, being more vocal and playing defence. These are things we learned at the camp and I have had to change my preparations because it would not just help me in 3×3 but also in 5×5,” he pointed out.
