As the countdown continues for the highly anticipated pageant in Berbice, the “I’m a Big Deal” Beauty Pageant, supporters have the opportunity to vote for their favourite contestants with the aim of them winning the People’s Choice Award.
The delegate with the most votes will be awarded prizes and a trophy. The delegates are listed on the “I’m a Big Deal Beauty Pageant Page” on Facebook. All you have to do is click ‘Like’ under the photos of the delegates competing in the pageant.
Voting commenced on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at 06:00h and ends on Friday, November 17, at 06:00h. The pageant is set for November 18 at the Albion Sports Complex Ground and will see 12 beautiful delegates competing in a number of competitions but at the end of the night, only one delegate will walk away with the inaugural crown.
Apart from showcasing their beauty, the delegates will be tested for intelligence. There will be several performances by well-known Berbicians, including Bunty Singh, former Chutney/Soca Monarch; The Unity Boys; body builders and others.
Tickets for the event cost $1000 and are available at Sparkle Supermarket, Ulverston Village Corentyne; Shav’eh Restaurant and Lounge and Office Express/Ram’s, Portuguese Quarters, Port Mourant; Poonai’s Pharmacy and Animal Health Care, Rose Hall; and Candy Shop, Pitt Street, New Amsterdam.
