A man who was wanted by the Police was on Thursday evening shot during an exchange of gunfire with the Police in Warlock, East Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
The injured man has been identified as Dwayne Castello, also called “Top Cat”, of Warlock East Ruimveldt. Based on information received, Police were patrolling the area when they noticed Castello, but upon seeing the lawmen, he opened fire in their direction.

The Police returned fire, hitting him to his knee. He was apprehended and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he has been admitted under guard.
An unlicensed .9mm pistol with matching rounds was retrieved from the scene.
