Was this a case of hand wash hand?

Dear Editor,
The Public Health Minister made much about the donation to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation of refrigerators to store the emergency supplies at the internationally acceptable temperature (‘ANSA McAL is only company to ever provide cold storage facilities for drugs’ – Lawrence ).
This disclosure by the Minister raises the troubling question whether her judgment to sole source was compromised?
Did this benevolent, charitable act play a part in any way or cloud the Minister’s consideration to bypass Tender Board procedures and opt for the controversial sole source route?
Was this a case of hand wash hand? The Minister says she is not for sale. It seems Public Health Ministers just keep blundering on.

Regards,
Shamshun Mohamed
