A West Bank Demerara (WBD) family has been plunged into a state of mourning after one of their members committed suicide.
The victim, identified as Ronald Bess, of Patentia Housing Scheme, WBD, was said to have taken his own life some time on Saturday. Guyana Times understands that the man was reportedly having problems with his spouse over a long period of time.Reports are that the woman moved out of their home and Bess had made repeated requests for her to return. This publication was told that the man recently attempted to rekindle the relationship, but after the woman reportedly refused, he took his own life.
Attempts to contact Divisional Commander Leslie James for additional details, on Sunday afternoon were unsuccessful.
