The charges brought against him stated that on April 16, 2019, at Main Street, Georgetown, he attempted to commit a robbery on Jasira Allen. On the said day, at Main Street, Georgetown, he robbed Janoy DeSantos of a handbag, among other items valued $13,000.
It was further stated that on the same date, while being transported from Brickdam to Diamond Police Station, Lampkin jumped out of the police vehicle at High Street, Georgetown, and tried to escape. He was, however, apprehended a short distance away.
During the incident, Lampkin assaulted two police officers and attempted to relieve one of the ranks of his service weapon. The man was then shot in his left side abdomen by the police rank during the attack.
Lampkin was sentenced to serve three years for the robbery charge, 18 months for the attempted robbery, and six months for escaping lawful custody. He was also fined $20,000 for the assault charges. Failure to pay the fine will result in him spending six months in prison.
