West Indies U19s clinch Youth ODI series 5-2

The West Indies Under-19s capped off a remarkable seven-match, Youth ODI series with a hard-fought victory in the final game, showcasing grit, skill, and depth to seal the series 5-2.

Aadian Racha had an all- round good game

Winning the toss and opting to bat first, the West Indies innings was built on steady contributions from several batters. Earsinho Fontaine led the charge with a patient 39 off 85 balls, while Tyreik Bryan supported with a composed 36. Shamar Apple and Aadian Racha added 31 apiece, helping the team post a competitive total of 213 all out in 49.2 overs.
Alex French was the pick of the bowlers for the opposition, claiming 3 wickets for just 21 runs. Farhan Ahmed and Ralphie Albert also made important breakthroughs, picking up 2 wickets each.

Shamar Apple scored 31

In response, the opposition found themselves up against a formidable West Indies bowling attack. Caleb Falconer anchored the chase with a well-paced 52 off 69 balls, including five crisp boundaries. Joe Moores contributed a valuable 37, while Ben Dawkins chipped in with 27 runs.
The West Indies bowlers dominated proceedings, with Aadian Racha and Micah McKenzie wreaking havoc to claim 4 wickets each, effectively dismantling the batting lineup.
With this victory, the West Indies Under-19s wrapped up the series convincingly, 5-2, leaving fans and selectors alike impressed with the depth and talent on display.
