West Meten-Meer-Zorg CC congratulates WDCA on election
The West Meten-Meer-Zorg Cricket Club takes this opportunity to congratulate the new executive body of the West Demerara Cricket Association, elected on 2nd March, 2022 at the Uitvlugt Community Centre.

Our club would also like to recognise former Meten-Meer-Zorg Captain and past president Azeem Khan, aka Troy Khan, who was elected president of the association, and present member of our Club, Feroze Barakat, who was elected Secretary of the Association.
We are fully supportive of the new board, and (are) looking forward to working with all for a better West Demerara Cricket Association.
According to Club Captain Jarmin Maxwell, “We were deprived of our cricketing rights for almost ten years, and this New Association board is fully aware of that, which I will advise them not to thread the same path; rather, to be open and transparent to all Clubs.”
Azeem Khan is now the second President to be elected ever since, for the West Meten-Meer-Zorg Cricket Club. It is said that he has followed the footsteps of former President Shabir Hussain.
We, the club members, are delighted to have this change, and we welcome them in their positions as we look forward to working along with them.
